New site for ordering

We just signed up on Thumbtack. It is a website to help people find local services. They have a very nice Web 2.0 interface. Check out our listing on Thumbtack at: Iowa Photographers – portrait, wedding, commercial.
Kathy and Kurt’s Quaker Wedding
Anne, the kids, and I went on a Ten State/Ten Day Tour of the Southeastern US. The impetus for this trip was Anne’s college-friend’s wedding in Charlotte, North Carolina. We weren’t in professional photographer mode, but created some nice photos to share. Kathy and Kurt had a Quaker Wedding; this was a first for us and a very enjoyable experience. We avoided using any flash during the ceremony so as not to distract from the meditative nature of the service.

If you schedule a portrait session before the end of July you save $25 on our portrait session (typically $85). Print prices are still economical at: 8×10-$10, 5×7-$5, 4×6-$2, 8 wallets-$8

Kirchner Grunst Wedding
Jill, Doug and their families were a joy to photograph. Candle Lit Way Wedding Chapel in Dallas Center made for a beautiful wedding location, and the Embassy Club was an elegant reception location.
Jack with Red Mustang
A foggy morning made for great lighting with Jack and a red ’65 Mustang Fastback in Waukee.
Evan Senior Portraits
Walnut Woods State Park was a beautiful location for Evan’s senior portraits, taken at sunset. Evan was great to work with!
Anthony Senior Portraits
Raccoon River Park made for a scenic setting for Anthony’s senior portraits. We had great weather, a handsome subject, and plenty of teasing from his Dad and girlfriend. 
Katelin 9 month photoshoot
Katelin is a lovely subject. When it comes to young children, if you have a good-sized family room we can set up at your home and include “real props”. We set up beautiful lighting and use a nice muslin or the actual environment for a background.
